Ethan Maday

Ethan Maday is a junior at Santa Barbara High School. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, camping, surfing, video work, and mountain biking. Ethan started youth group 805 Action, an organization aimed at uplifting youth voices into a conversation about the future. His work has drawn the attention of New York Times, Associated Press, and Los Angeles Times journalists, in addition to local outlets. He currently serves as President of his school’s environmental club, where he organizes youth-led events, campaigns, and advocacy efforts. He enjoys writing about his interests: environmental issues with a focus on policy, telling stories highlighting local action, and helping young people understand politics.
