Iris Heckes

At Santa Barbara High School, Iris Heckes is a junior, a passionate writer and motivated student. She is the features editor for The Forge newspaper, a tennis player, a beach lifeguard, and an actress. Iris is involved in the community by being an academic mentor at her school, assisting a vender at the farmers’ market, and recently engaging in local politics. She is thrilled to join Unmuted and combine her love for the community with a modern and creative writing style!
